Concentrated time to work
Once fully underway, Alder Row will welcome creatives in the broadest spectrum of artistic, scientific and critical practice and thought. We will provide fellowships inclusive of a place to live, opportunities for shared meals, and exclusive use of a work studio for up to two months amidst a natural setting in connection with a small but supportive community.
In tandem, our fellows will share their work with the local community in the forms of collaboration, exhibition, performance, lectures and workshops. This kind of exchange promotes insight, appreciation, enjoyment and understanding of all artistic disciplines including literary, visual, performing, and media arts. For the community members, these events spark meaningful engagement with creativity and offer a rare glimpse into the artistic process. In response, artists gain insight into their own work through resulting dialogue, reflection and exchange.
Our space can accommodate single residents (with or without their family) and collaborative groups. This capability sets us apart from other artistic residency programs which often only offer single occupancy options.
