Welcome to Alder Row

LEARN MORE
ALDER ROW

A place to create.

Alder Row is an nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.  We support arts education and exhibition, and a residency program based on Lopez Island, Washington.

Set on a 53-acre property with lodging and stand-alone studio space (in process), Alder Row provides an immersive setting for inspiration, creation, and research for thinkers of all creative disciplines — artists, scholars, educators, scientists and more. During their time on the island, residents are encouraged to share their process with the Lopez community through direct collaboration or via concerts, exhibitions, workshops and other events.

The setting of Lopez Island allow residents to be immersed in a natural environment which can incubate creative ideas and influence art. Collaborative exchange with the local community reflects mutual generosity, curiosity, and encourages new ways of thinking.
